Q. What ages of children do you accept?
A. Due to overwhelming response, we are limiting all future photography sessions to newborns, 2 weeks of age and younger. The ideal age to photograph newborns is between 6-10 days old, so that they are still very sleepy and moldable. If your baby has been born prematurely, please contact us for a custom consultation.
Q. When should I book my session?
A. While you are still pregnant! In an attempt to maintain a high level of quality and customer service, we are only able to accept a limited number of clients each month. These are scheduled on a first come, first serve basis, using your due date to temporarily reserve a position on the calendar. Please contact us at your earliest convenience, as we would be honored to capture these precious memories for your family.
Q. Do you have a studio?
A. YES, we offer custom newborn photo sessions at our professional studio in Kapolei, HI. It is a very clean, safe and comfortable environment. We provide over 100 unique set-ups, backdrops and props for exclusive use, by our clients. Please note, photography sessions are not offered after 2 weeks of age, be sure to plan ahead. There is a non-refundable fee of $150 (Kama’aina Rate) for all studio photo sessions.
Q. Do you photograph multiples (ie. twins, triplets, etc.)?
A. YES, multiples are one of our specialties, you are welcome to check out some samples by clicking here. Please note, a surcharge of $50/sibling is required. For example, the total studio session fee for twins would be $200 (Kama’aina Rate), triplets $250 (Kama’aina Rate) and so on.
Q. Does my session fee include any prints or digital images?
A. NO, the session fee is a separate expense and covers the photographer’s time & talent and provides you with exclusive access to over 150 unique set-ups, backdrops and props at our studio.
Q. How many final images do you present & when do I get to see them?
A. Approximately 1 week following your newborn photo session, we will present you with 20-30 professionally edited images, via a password protected, online gallery.
Q. How much do prints cost & is there a minimum purchase?
A. We offer 3 affordable Island Collections starting at $350. These qualify as our minimum purchase requirement and vary from a combination of prints; digital images; or prints, hard cover memory album, & digital images. Please inquire for a full description and pricing of each package.
Q. Can I purchase the digital images from my session?
A. YES, 2 out of the 3 Island Collections include our #1 selling, Digital Image Flash Drive. (all 20-30 edited images, full resolution, with print release) This allows you to print unlimited copies for personal use, make birth announcements, enlargements, custom albums, etc. Please inquire for a full description and pricing of each package.
Q. Do you offer any type of special rates or discounts?
A. YES, we do offer a special Kama’aina Rate on the studio photo session fee. All legal residents of the state of Hawaii are eligible.
Q. When is my package fee due & when will I receive my images?
A. Full payment for the Island Collection of your choice is due at the studio, on the day of your photo session. On average, the Digital Image Flash Drive is mailed out after only 1 week, one of the fastest turnaround times on the island! Prints take slightly longer and will be mailed out within 2-3 weeks.
Q. What forms of payment do you accept?
A. We accept cash, check and all major credit cards.
Q. Can I scan or copy my prints?
A. NO, Aloha Island Baby Photography reserves the right to all images. All images are copyrighted under Federal law. Scanning, reproduction, or alteration of any kind is illegal and offenders will be prosecuted accordingly.
Q. Can I bring my personal camera on the session day?
A. NO, personal camera, camcorder and camera phone use is prohibited during all photo sessions. Sorry, but there are no exceptions to this rule. We appreciate your understanding!
